If you're looking at TradiesMate as a CallEez alternative, start with the facts. Facts about CallEez on this page were checked on 22 October 2026 from its public pricing page and home page. They may have changed since. If you spot a mistake, tell us and we'll fix it.

CallEez is an AI receptionist for businesses of all kinds, including trades. TradiesMate is job-management software for UK tradespeople, with an AI receptionist as one part of it. So if you're weighing up a CallEez alternative, the question isn't only "which AI answers better". It's also "do you want just a receptionist, or the whole job from enquiry to invoice?"

Price

CallEez shows three standard plans, all excluding VAT, checked on 22 October 2026:

  • Beginner, £19 a month, with 50 minutes and 20 text messages.
  • Growth, £89 a month, with 400 minutes and 100 text messages.
  • Business, £159 a month, with 800 minutes and 200 text messages.

It also lists a bespoke plan, which has no public price.

TradiesMate has three plans: Minimum at £24 every 30 days, Covered at £39 every 30 days with 250 texts, and Covered Team at £79. The first 30 days of Covered are half price. No VAT is added. The AI receptionist is included in Covered and Covered Team, with 60 minutes of AI calls every 30 days.

These aren't the same thing, so the numbers don't line up like for like. A CallEez plan buys a receptionist. A TradiesMate plan buys the receptionist plus quotes, jobs, a diary, invoices and payments. If you only need the receptionist, compare the price of that. If you'd also pay for job software, add that to the other side of the sum.

What callers hear

CallEez says its assistant can be set up to answer 24/7, take bookings and send texts. We didn't find a statement on the pages we read about whether it tells callers it's an AI, so ask them before you rely on it.

TradiesMate's assistant says it's your virtual assistant, and says yes if a caller asks whether it's an AI. You can give it a first name, and it never pretends to be you or your staff.

Booking and prices

CallEez says it books appointments into your connected calendar, as long as a calendar is connected. If you want the receptionist to fill your diary, that's a point in its favour.

TradiesMate's AI receptionist doesn't book visits. It asks when suits the caller, and you confirm the time. It never gives a price unless you've set a "call-outs from" figure. That's a choice. Some tradespeople prefer to confirm every visit themselves.

Emergencies

CallEez says it transfers urgent calls to the number you set.

TradiesMate can ring your mobile for what you mark as urgent, like a leak or no heating. If a caller smells gas or a carbon monoxide alarm is going off, it gives them the National Gas Emergency Service number, 0800 111 999, texts it to them, and never books or puts through the call. If anyone is in danger, it tells them to call 999. Those lines are the same for every business and can't be switched off.

After the call

CallEez sends you a call summary by email when that's switched on, and links to other apps through Make.

With TradiesMate, the job, postcode and summary land as an enquiry in your Inbox. From there you call back, quote, book and invoice without moving the details into another app.

Who each suits

CallEez may suit you if you want a receptionist that books straight into a calendar you already use, or you run a business that isn't only trades, or you want to build around other apps.

TradiesMate may suit you if you want the missed call, the quote, the job and the invoice in one place, you want to confirm every visit yourself, or you'd rather not keep call audio.

If you already have job software you're happy with, a receptionist on its own may be all you need. We'd rather you picked the right tool than the wrong one.

How to compare any two

  1. Write down what you need. Booking? Emergencies? Where the enquiry goes?
  2. Read each pricing page on the day you buy. Prices move.
  3. Test each by phone. Ring it as a customer would.
  4. Check the trial. What it includes, whether it needs a card, and when it ends.
  5. Work out a busy month. What happens when the minutes run out?

Questions

Is CallEez a competitor to TradiesMate?

In part. They overlap on answering missed calls with an AI. TradiesMate also does quotes, jobs, a diary, invoices and payments.

Do I need to change my phone number?

Both say you can keep your own number and send unanswered calls on. See call divert codes for how a divert works.

How often do you check these facts?

Every month, and we correct any error within two working days of being told. This page was checked on 22 October 2026.

Does TradiesMate book appointments like CallEez?

No. Our AI receptionist takes the details and when suits the caller, and you confirm the time.
